E8074: Easel Mates

What is it used for?

The Easel Mate is used to create a tabletop frame when an easel back cannot be attached.

How do I attach the easel mate?

Place the frame face down on your work space. Measure length of the frame (on the side you want to place the easel mate) and find the center of that leg. Place the short crossbar of the easel mate (the T) on the area of the frame you marked. Screw in place. The long bar of the easel mate will stick out, away, from the frame

and serve as a counterbalance.

Note: Depending on the size and width of your frame, you made need to use two easel mates. If so, find the center of the chosen leg of the frame and mark the center. Then find the center of the right section of your original mark and attach an easel mate. Do the same for the left side. If you think you need more than two easel mates, please hang frame on the wall instead of placing on a table top.

When is it used?

The easel mate is added to the frame after the backing paper is applied.
