What is it
used for?
The Point
Driver and Points are used to secure your image inside the frame.
How do I
install points in the point driver?
On each side
of the point driver are small metal pegs. The pegs are in the reload
location on the point driver. Pull the pegs up to the lock area on the
point driver; turn counterclockwise. This will hold the point driver
open so you can place the points in the slotted area. Place your
points (use the outline as a guide). Unwind your metal pegs. This
safety catch will hold the points in place.
How do I
use the point driver?
At the bottom
of the point driver is a small jut out just below where the points are
stored. The points shoot out from this location. Using the point
driver like a nail gun, point the small jut out towards the area you
want to secure. Place it up against the frame. Pull the lever inside
the point driver. A point will shoot out and lodge itself in the
frame, thus pinning in your image. Place points approximately three
inches apart all the way around your frame.
Note:
Please be careful when using the point driver. Like a nail gun, the
points come out with a force and can hurt you. Also, if you use glass,
only use one point per side, then check to be sure you removed all the
lint from inside the glass. More than likely, you will find lint the
first two times you check. Once you are sure you have removed all the
lint, then finish placing the points inside the frame.
